The summer of 2011 is almost over. The season may be winding down, but a determined movie goer can still catch many exciting action flicks. Thor came out early this summer. The midsummer season saw Captain America and Cowboys and Aliens. Even before Captain America hit the silver screen, DC fans could watch the antics of Green Lantern.
If the movie goer did not want to watch super hero movies, the final Harry Potter movie also made its way to the theaters.Want more? Click here/tag While everyone knows what happens, fans still flocked to the theaters in droves to see it.
One of the more interesting elements of 2011 was Stephen Spielberg returning to the idea of aliens. Spielberg, who though he had done enough with movies like E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. E.T. is a touching story of friend ship, while Close Encounters of the Third Kind has a more mysterious element. Super 8 is almost a pure action film from the beginning. You do not even know aliens are involved until you make it halfway through the movie.
An action move fan can find enough sizzling hot action to suit his tastes, but he must hurry. The summer movie season ends at about the same time schools go back into session.
